Undergraduate Research
The Department of Microbiology, Genetics, & Immunology distinguishes itself by the
students that participate in undergraduate research. Research is an integral component
in progressing science. Thus, the MGI Department encourages and supports all of its
undergrads who are willing to make a difference.
How to get involved:

Research your interests (e.g. virology, bacteriology, cancer, etc.).

Determine which professors' interests match your own. (Check out the Research section of this website).

Email faculty indicating you are interested in working in their lab.

Be professional in your email and include your qualifications.
