Human Resources

MGI faculty members who wish to hire new employees in their laboratory should come to the MGI Business Office and talk with Christine VanDeuren, our Human Resources Administrator. She will help you determine the appropriate position for your new employee and will prepare and process all of the necessary paperwork.

As a reminder, a foreign national who is not authorized to work in the U.S. cannot volunteer at the University in a position for which wages would normally be paid or other benefits would typically be provided. Here is  link to the Statement from our General Counsel which explains the situation in detail.

Below are various web-links and information that will be helpful resources to you when recruiting new employees for our department.
